Rapid Plasma Regain (RPR / VDRL Test)

The Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) test, also known as the VDRL test, is a blood test used to screen for syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum. It detects non-specific antibodies produced by the body in response to the infection, helping to confirm or rule out a diagnosis and monitor treatment effectiveness.
